GMC Beats

GMCBeats run workshops covering creative songwriting, rapping, singing, recording, beatmaking & music technology for schools, youth groups, businesses & for special occasions. Gary McCarthy of GMC Beats has been working the TY group over the past few weeks to help them write and perform their own raps and songs.

What are the benefits of these workshops?

These workshops are designed to give people confidence in their own creativity through writing and also to build up their technical skills in recording and production (participants will get a hands on experience of recording equipment, producing music and writing lyrics). Creating original music builds confidence, and exploring different topics for songs helps develop knowledge of music, technology and society. Most of all, these workshops engage participants in something that is highly expressive and even therapeutic.
