3rd Year Trip to Dublin
Last week, Third Years took their CSPE trip to Leinster House and Dublin. Following an early start we arrived at Leinster House for 11 am and got a very informative tour of our parliament. This was followed by a tour of the National History Museum where we experienced some of our country’s rich historical heritage with artefacts dating back to the Bronze Age. Following lunch on Grafton Street, we took a guided tour of Glasnevin Cemetery. Some of Glasnevin’s highlights included the graves of Michael Collins, Eamon De Valera, CS Parnell and the Mausoleum of Daniel O’ Connell. A very enjoyable day was had by all. Thanks to the CSPE Dept for organising the trip and the teachers and SNAs who travelled with them.
