Great wins for SMGS Girls Basketball 🏀

First Year: 

The first year girls basketball team kitted out for the first match of the season against Coláiste an Phiarsaigh today. They started the match out strong and carried on with the same determination the whole way through. The girls maintained a comfortable lead throughout the match with their heads held high. We can't wait to see what the season will bring. Well done girls, great score of 44-13 🏀💪🏼

2nd years.

The second year girls basketball team started off the season with a fight against Coláiste an Phiarsaigh today. The first quarter ran very smoothly and to plan with a comfortable 9 point lead. The second quarter came and the girls had to dig deep to maintain their lead, ending the second quarter with only a 3 point lead. Thankfully the girls started to fight back and work together to come out with an overall win of 53-28. Great stuff girls keep up the good work 🙌🏼🏀
