Today the senior Camogie team played Colaiste Ide agus Iosaf, Abbeyfeale in Charleville in the Munster Intermediate A competition. Considering the girls played yesterday in the Cork county competition, it was a hard ask for them to compete again today. Abbeyfeale got off to a good start with a goal and a point before Blarney settled. Goals from Orla Cremen and Fiona Bourke and points from Chloe Walsh and Emma Murphy helped the girls to settle before a hailstone shower interrupted the first half. The girls lead 3-3 to 1-5 at half time. From the beginning of the second half Blarney were on top with points from Fiona Bourke and goals from Orla Cremen and Eimear O’Reilly. However, Abbeyfeale did not give up. They closed the lead to 3 points with ten minutes left. Sub, Ciara O’Riordan came on and scored a point to secure a full time score of 5-8 to 4-7. The girls now progress to the semi final against Ballincollig CS.
