Inter Schools Equestrian Event

SMGS Blarney Equestrian Team competed in a recent inter-schools equestrian event in Hop Island Rochestown. 3 first year students Roisin Murphy, Anna O’Connor and Emma Nateland O’Keefe and one 2nd year student Orlaith Savage travelled on the day. Roisin got 3rd in the 70cm competition on a riding school horse Roland. Orlaith was up next and had two faults with her horse Blaze. Emma Nateland O’Keefe got a clear round but unfortunately had one fault as her horse Tess slipped coming off one of the jumps. Finally it was Anna O’Connor and Chester. Anna’s horse Princess got an injury on route to event so Chester had to fill in at late notice. Anna did extremely well but unfortunately also had a fault. Well down to all our riders representing SMGS Blarney today.
