Double Celebrations for George and Niamh!

Huge double celebrations today in SMGS! We had the pleasure of honouring two very special students from the class of 2023.

George Forrest was awarded the highest marks in Technology in Ireland for Leaving Certificate 2023 and Niamh O' Leary was awarded the highest marks in Design Communication Graphics in Ireland for Leaving Certificate 2023. This is a first for SMGS to receive the accolade in two subjects in the same academic year.

It was great to welcome George and Niamh back and to meet their mentors and former teachers Mr. Martin McCarthy and Mr. Sean O' Callaghan. We also wish to congratulate their teachers on this remarkable achievement.

Coincidentally both George and Niamh are now studying Architecture in UCC. We wish them all the very best in their future studies. We have no doubt that this is not the end of their academic achievements. Well done George and Niamh.
