SMGS Rugby

Some of our TYO students travelled to Ballincollig RFC today to take on Colaiste Choilm TYO students.  

Credit to both sides for a really entertaining game, shaded by Colaiste Choilm. A rematch is already being discussed.

Great to see some new faces on the rugby pitch for SMGS. 

Updates

Our Snr side await their 1st rd opponents in the U19 O’Gorman Shield . 

The U18s  have qualified for the QF of the Bowen Shield. 

U16s await their 1st rd opponents in the Giles Shield having been beaten in Rd 2 of the King Cup by Charleville. 

Finally the U15s are through to the SF of the McCarthy Cup. Many 1st yrs are involved here and training nos are very promising for Jnr rugby going forward. 

Training continues on a Tuesday evening from 3.45-5pm
