Scifest 2020: Start voting for Blarney students!!

The Aim of Scifest

The aim of SciFest is to encourage a love of science, technology, engineering and maths through active, collaborative, inquiry-based learning and to provide a forum for second-level students at local/regional level to present and display their scientific investigations.

And the winner is …………….

Dear Aisling and Nadia,

I am delighted to inform you both that you have won the SciFest STEM Outreach Award 2020, with an astonishing 20493 votes! An incredible and record breaking achievement. Your video and project obviously captured the imagination of the public and your local school community. Which is of course no surprise. It was well put together and demonstrated a fantastic project. I hope this will encourage you to continue on with the temperature monitor, as it is such an impressive device and idea.

We will be sending out your certificates and prize money this afternoon and the Dublin Crystal Trophy will follow later this week. We’ll be publishing the award on our website and social media this afternoon also.

From all of the SciFest team, a huge congratulations on a a well deserved win.

 Kind regards

Hugo Rowsome
