Junior Girls Football secure great win
Last Thursday our Junior girls football team came up against Carrignavar.
It was a lovely afternoon with the sun shining. The girls started off well by winning the throw in and scoring 5 quick points. The girls continued their hard work and were eventually rewarded with a well worked goal by Laura Smith. Carrignavar made a few breaks by the Blarney backs cut them off. The half time score was 2:13 to no score.
Blarney started off well again in the second half and scored 2 goals without delay. Carrignavar made a break and it looked like they would score a goal but Amy Bannon of Blarney made an excellent save. Carrignavar then scored a point but Blarney pushed ahead and Carrignavar lost touch. The final score was 8:18 to 0:1.

Prior to this victory over Carrignavar, the girls also won against Regina Mundi.
