SMGS Athletics Success

SMGS had great success at the South Munster Schools Athletics Track And Field held at CIT last Wednesday and Friday. Holly Carroll and Michelle Ugwah kept up their fine record representing the school, with Holly coming 1st in the 1 mile run and Michelle coming 2nd in Long Jump and 4th in the Shot Put. In the boys category, Christopher Horgan came third in 1500m, Bobby Dulfield Cook 1st in 100m and Colin O' Dwyer 3rd in the same event. Our minor relay team for the 4x100m stormed to 1st place with the team consisting of Bobby, Colin, Shane O Sullivan and Oscar Ahern. Well done to all who took part and best wishes to the group who now go forward to represent the school on Saturday in the Munster Track and Field.
